Our Story
I'm Brett Holbrooks, and I started this business in 2019. Honestly, it started as more of an experimental hobby. I've always enjoyed running machinery, and I'd always wanted to own my own business, so I figured I'd give it a shot.
Once I got going, I fell in love with the work fast. There's something about turning a piece of raw ground into a homesite someone can build their life on — clearing the trees, cutting the road, grading the pad, running the septic — that I just couldn't walk away from. So I didn't.
Over time I put my time and my money into it, and I grew it into something that supports my family full-time. It's not a side thing anymore. This is how I feed my family, and it's a legacy I want them to be proud of. I formed the LLC in 2022 to do it right — licensed, insured, and accountable — and I've got seven years in excavation now.
Most of what I do is residential. People buy a piece of land out in Stephens County or one of the counties around it, and they want one crew to take it from raw ground to ready to build. That's what Elite Grading & Construction does, and that's the work I'm proud to put my name on.

Our Equipment
We run our own iron. That means we're not sitting around waiting on a rental to show up — when we say we'll be there, we're there.

Clears trees and brush, cuts the access road and pushes the rough grade.
15-ton Excavator
The big machine for digging the septic tank, drain field and deep trenching.
Mini Excavator
Gets into the tight spots — clearing along a creek or trenching right up to the house.
Tracked Skid Steer
Final grading, spreading gravel and cleaning up around the finished home.
10-ton Dump Truck
Moves material on our own job sites — we're not waiting on someone else's truck.

We hold a City of Toccoa business license. Toccoa and Stephens County are home turf, and we work it right.
